The Department of Immigration launched a new mobile app called ‘Nepal Immigration’ in a formal program this July, reports The Himalayan Times. This app was launched as a part of its Immigration Strategic Plan.
During the formal launch, the Minister of Home Affairs, Janardan Sharma expressed the belief that the app would be helpful for the country’s immigration sector.
Minister Sharma said immigration had a significant bearing on national security and stressed on proper use of the application to ensure that criminals and terrorists did not misuse the app to sneak into the country.
The app contains information about Nepal’s immigration laws and regulations. Further, it will also help tourists to fill up arrival and departure digitally.
